Watermelon and Feta Salad Recipe

A summer salad with a freshness and saltiness combo works wonders as a starter or alongside grilled meat or fish on the barbeque. It would be best if you tried this watermelon and feta salad.

A Nutritious Summer Salad

Salads are not just iceberg lettuce with a dollop of mayonnaise, grated carrot, and a pathetic slice of tomato and watery cucumber. They should be advantageous, bold, and whet your appetite for more. The Mediterranean inspires this watermelon and feta salad recipe. They often have watermelon grown in the summer and then serve with goat’s cheeses like feta, fresh mint, lemon or lime juice, and extra olive oil.

If there were a hydrating meal, this would be it. Watermelon is one of the best fruits out there nutritionally, with amazing cardiovascular health effects due to its rich citrulline content. It also contains a significant amount of lycopene and potassium.

The calcium in the feta cheese is also ideal when basking and downloading the summer sun alongside the saltiness in the cheese or extra added.

Healthy Watermelon Salad Recipe

The watermelon and feta salad recipe is super easy and fast to prepare. The only catch is that it’s best served once and not stored. So you can prepare all the ingredients if you don’t mix or dress them.

I used cucumber, fresh mint, basil, local cheese similar to feta cheese, and limes instead of lemon for my recipe.

To impress your friends, it’s best to ensure the preparation is on point by cutting the different ingredients in desired and uniform sizes. Too big watermelon or small cheese cubes will fail the salad. So be delicate with the preparation and follow your intuition with the dimensions.

What to Serve With Watermelon and Feta Salad

The ideal accompaniment is simple - grilled pork ribs, lamb cutlets, or chicken thighs in a simple lemon, oregano, and extra virgin olive oil marinade. Additionally, from the sea, it could be baked seabass, grilled shrimp, or squid.
